Want to intern at PLA? We're looking for design students who are artists at heart. Who are eager to learn how to develop garments that are more than just a product to sell. We make garments that are thorough explorations of ideas. We experiment and get messy. We work hard and are extremely focused.
You will learn:
How to develop a garment from idea through the manufacturing process. How to source fabric.
How wholesaling and retail sales work.
Requirements:
-You must know how to work and thread a serger. (This isn't a google it and fake it moment.)
-Be comfortable with social media
-Detail oriented work habits
-Have a positive attitude
Bonus Points:
-Photography and graphic design skills are HIGHLY valued.
-Pattern making skills
